Re: Putty Pads - Theoretical Acoustic Isolation Effectiveness
Your thoroughness is appreciated, Jennifer, as this is something I will need to deal with in a few months. You have made it easier to know what to look out for. I chuckled when I saw the Hilti boxes as one of my neighbours drives a red Hilti car so I know where to ask if I cannot find any putty pads...

Deaf Architects & Blind Acousticians
This book was mentioned in the topic Architects and churches... Does anyone have a copy of this book? I ask because my copy is missing pages 21-36, a printing error as the book is otherwise neatly bound. If you have this book and would be willing to photograph the missing pages, I would be most grat...

Re: Architects and churches...
My wife has been the leader and conductor of a small choir for many years. Those curved areas are great acoustic amplifiers and could amplify a small choir such that a PA was not needed. The churches I have seen with them in are all over 100 years old, predating electric instruments, amplifiers and ...

Re: SHORT Book List
Philip Newell's Recording Studio Design was a great help to me in understanding acoustics. It is not in your recommended reading list, Stuart. I don't know whether you think it should be or not.
