What about Acoustical Room Dimensions?
have you considered partnering with ODEON etc to see if it's something they could implement into their already expansive package of room simulation functionality? get a license fee instead of building and maintaing it yourselves? partner with the other ACCON groups in the EU?

What about Acoustical Room Dimensions?
sure, a recursion process to get to a set of "best" options would be nice. there are several room sizing programs, and some include proper speaker / location specifications as parameters, and iteratively work to identify the best size and locations. and some can work with existing rooms (m...

Monitor Mounting options
pretty sure many live shows use trusses and/or poles to mount speakers, and large events are surprisingly very sophisticated in their response for listening - including things liked beamed subwoofer arrays etc. so it's definitely an option, and might even have a really cool look.

decoupling the stands is the same as decoupling the speakers from the stands. ceiling mounts may not need to be complex. look into some ceiling isolation braces to mount the speaker bracket onto. e.g. some isolation mounts for equipment etc - adding a small increase in depth from the ceiling but suf...

you could use the heavy stands, then decouple the speakers from the stand, or decouple the stange + speaker from the floor. ultimately the speaker decoupled will depend on the weight of each unit, or the ability to "press" down on the speaker to get the right compression. i suggest all ear...

excellent! yeah, as things get quieter and quieter suddenly you find other places which transfer the sound or make noises - framing, shared concrete pads, ducts, electrical wiring strung tightly between isolated walls, conduits, hvac noises, etc. but on the plus side, once you're below 50-55db, your...

the clearance if you're going to decouple in the box will depend on the decoupler thickness etc. if the box will be decoupled, then make the box snug w/ some light rubber to keep it firmly in place yet still accessible. the hangers? use some plywood or OSB, with insulation, leave about 1-2" air...
