How to run the drainline on a mini split
depends on the unit. also consider this - if you're in a hyper-insulated space with electronics and bodies - you will have heat and moisture :-) so more than likely you will need some cooling cycles even in winter... i only know of a few spaces where cooling wasn't needed and both are near the arcti...

the poly should add a good amount of the diffusion effects you are seeking. however, another option is scattered absorption on the angled sides 12x12x2" squares spaced on 36x36 should give a lot of diffusive effect without losing the liveness.

How to run the drainline on a mini split

yes or extend that side so you can add some of the insulation in front of it so at least its doing some absorption there. also, i typically only put the semi rigid on the face side and fill the rest, gentle packed with the soft pink (or typically light wall stuff). so in ordering of things: install ...

the example has a simple turn versus a "twisted path". technically, simply blocking a direct path should be enough - but - if you have noise in the system (machine, other rooms etc) then the extra turns expose more insulation to the flow and thus more opportunities to attenuate it. otherwi...

i suspect - no. the consideration is erosion over time. constant air flow will cause things to come off and enter the air your breath. if you do want to use it, then consider a lining over it to prevent it from escaping. a thin tough plastic will work. you'll miss some of the HF absorption but it ma...

Stand alone "room in a room" studio build in Orange NSW Australia
